When it arrived, it was everything I had hoped for. From the deep plum colour, to the breathable and stretchy material. Yes, this top was going to see a lot of use. Since the moment I saw it, I was already putting outfits together in my mind. (I know! I'll layer it underneath the Winona slip dress).

As soon as the rain no longer presented an obstacle, I did exactly this. Imagine my surprise when I went to reach for the top a second time and noticed fraying under the arms, on each of the shoulders, and along the neckline.

How? It was only worn for a few hours. I didn't pair it with any abrasive jewellery. If anything, I was extremely cautious with it and hung it up in my closet immediately after its use. So, again, how¿‽

The only answer I can think of is that it's an issue of quality. Which seems to be the case, as another reviewer reported experiencing something similar. I'm not sure if this is exclusive to the purple incarnation alone, or if it's a ubiquitous problem across the colour spectrum covered thus far.
